Historical Note

Fort Worth Postcards Collection contains an assortment of postcards exemplifying the institutions, businesses, and landscapes of Fort Worth. The collection features an array of churches, schools, hospitals, government and office buildings, restaurants, hotels, parks, lakes, streets, and skylines. The majority of the postcards were manufactured between 1930 and 1950, although inclusive dates range from 1900 to 1980. Many postcards were published by the following companies, popular manufacturers during this time: E. C. Kropp, Curt Teich, Raphael Tuck & Sons, Barkalow Bros., and John A. Stryker.
