John F. Kennedy Tribute Collection

 Digital Collection
Identifier: p16084coll6

Historical Note

John F. Kennedy had a unique impact on the city of Fort Worth as it was his last stop before his fateful journey to Dallas. This collection features some of the JFK-related materials housed in the Fort Worth Library Archives. Many of these materials are related to the dedication of the JFK Tribute in Fort Worth, which took place on November 8, 2012 at General Worth Square. The location of the Tribute is where hundreds of citizens gathered to listen as Kennedy gave an impromptu speech outside the Hotel Texas on Main Street on the morning of November 22, 1963.
