Biographical / Historical

A.G. “Andy” Nauert was born July 26, 1912, in Sand Flat, Texas. He was the former co-owner of Excel Steel and Machinery, Inc. and retired former owner of Fabricating Machinery, Inc., both of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Nauert was active in ranching and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Glen Garden Country Club, Diamond Oaks Country Club, and 21-Turtle Club. Mr. Nauert died August 1, 1998, in Bowie, Texas.

Barbara Vallera Martin was Mr. Nauert’s first wife. They had two daughters, Danna and Debra. Beulah Ann Jenkins (Mrs. W.H.) was the aunt of Mrs. Barbara Nauert. Barbara Nauert lived at 544 Malta Avenue; the collection was found at 540 Malta Avenue prior to it being demolished.
