Processing Information

The collection was originally received in one carton and did not appear to have any original order. During the original processing and arrangement, two intact issues of The Texas Catholic were removed from a scrapbook in Box 1. In addition, a Knights of Columbus scrapbook had some photographs that had been placed between the back cover and the final page. These photographs were placed into sleeves and placed into a separate folder, within Box 1. A 1958 report on a Deanery Meeting of the National Council of Catholic Women was removed from a scrapbook in Box 5 and was transferred to a relevant file folder in Box 1. A partial issue of The Texas Catholic was removed from a scrapbook in Box 4 and transferred to Box 6. An issue of Columbia was removed from a scrapbook in Box 4 and transferred to Box 6.

Additional materials were donated to this collection, consisting of three scrapbooks and a small binder, which were placed in Box 7 and Box 8. Several certificates, which had been randomly placed in the scrapbooks, were removed for further processing. Several of the certificates required unfolding, flattening, and minor document repair. The certificates were then placed flat in Box 9.
