This collection primarily consists of programs from opera performances in Fort Worth, but also includes newspaper clippings about the Everywoman opera and a single-sheet program from Saint Louis, Missouri. Dates were penciled in previously on some items by an unknown individual. The opera programs are from the years 1912 – 1928, and the collection measures .21 linear feet.

Biographical / Historical

Anna Jane Chilton was born in White Pine, Jefferson County, Tennessee. She moved with her family to Fort Worth as a young lady and later worked as a clerk for the American Railway Express Company. On August 31, 1929, she married Frederick Moon Thompson in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She had one son, James (Jim) Chilton Thompson, in 1930.
