Biographical / Historical
James T. Taylor was a prominent building contractor in Fort Worth. Among his projects were the City Hall, Will Rogers Coliseum and Commercial Standard building. His wife, Edna Earle Taylor nee Ratcliffe was the
sister-in-law of James Walker White Sr. White Sr was in turn the father of James Walker Jr. and grandfather of John Walker White, whose widow donated the photographs. Some of the photographs were taken inside the Taylor home, around 1911. The City Directory for that year lists the James T. Harding residence as being at 1312 Harding, which is now under I-35.
