Scope and Contents Note
The Daughters of the American Revolution: Mary Isham Keith Chapter Collection consists of scrapbooks, yearbooks, and minutes.
The first series, Minutes, (1959-1961), contains the minutes from meetings that took place during the stated years.
The second series, Yearbooks, (1903-1949), documents officers, the chapter by-laws, and minutes during the stated years.
The third series, Scrapbooks, (1938-1989) documents the history and events of the stated years.
The fourth series, Veteran Oral Histories, (2017-2018) with local veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. These interviews are available online. Please see "External Documents" under each entry for link.

The Mary Isham Keith Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized on June 15, 1898 to promote American history, patriotism, education, good citizenship, community service, historic preservation, love of country and the ideals of the founders. Membership is open to those who trace with documentation their ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War.

The yearbooks were donated to Fort Worth Library by the Chapter in November of 1948. The scrapbooks were donated to the Library by Joye K. Evetts in 2011 on June 24th, August 25th, and September 23rd. The provenance of the minutes is unknown.
A single volume of minutes of the Fort Worth Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (1936-1943), provenance unknown, was removed after it was discovered that it did not belong to the Mary Isham Keith Chapter. It is now in the Daughters of the American Revolution Fort Worth Chapter collection.
