Down Historic Trails of Fort Worth and Tarrant County was produced by The Arlington Heights Junior Historians in 1949. It covers the history of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas from 1849-1949. The book was edited by Mary Daggett Lake, local historian, charter member of the Fort Worth Garden Club, and great-niece of the ‘Father of Fort Worth,’ E.M. Daggett, and Kathryn Garrett, noted Fort Worth and Texas historian, teacher at Arlington Heights High School, and charter member of the Fort Worth Garden Club.

Down Historic Trails of Fort Worth and Tarrant County was presented to the Six Flags Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution by Mrs. W. A. Schmidt on July 14, 1993.
