History

Starting in 1979, the Meadowbrook Shopper, a local advertising paper, was distributed on the Eastside of Fort Worth. In 1997, Jim Conlin, and his mother, Wanda Conlin, bought the paper and renamed it, the Greater Meadowbrook News. They wanted to provide affordable advertising opportunities for local businesses and print stories about life in East Fort Worth. The paper was printed twice a month and was available in print and online. In July 2021, Greater Meadowbrook News shut down.
