The Oakhurst neighborhood was developed in the 1920s by John P. and Henry King.

Located just east of downtown, the Neighborhood Association presently represents an area of Fort Worth bounded by Oakhurst Scenic Drive, Yucca Avenue, Sylvania Avenue, and Watauga Road (Mount Olivet).
