The collection consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings and printed matter pertaining to Alexander Hogg, who served as superintendent of Fort Worth Public Schools between 1883 and 1905. Hogg was a nationally known educator. He also was editor of the Texas & Pacific Quarterly, a literary magazine published by the T & P Railroad and author of several books, including "The Railroad in Education". The papers were donated in 1951 by his daughter Mary Lulie Hogg.
