Scope and Contents William Byron Smith was born in Long Street, Louisiana. He came to Fort Worth in 1946 and built and operated the Rocket Club until his retirement in 1973. He died on October 8, 1992. His wife, Cordia Iones Smith was co-owner and operator of the Rocket Club until 1973. She died on July 23, 1995. William D. Scope and Contents Note The collection consists of 339 slides from the Eastern Star and Masonic gatherings the Kendalls attended. The gatherings were throughout the United States. The slides came in 11 slide boxes that each had detailed notations about the slides. These descriptions were photocopied and kept with the slides that were placed into protective sleeves.
